I prefer nothing as it only distracts me. But I've seen plenty of things hanging from people's mirrors. I thought of this while watching the video that @t-tony posted of @miller1098 and I driving the evo. I remember he had a small item hanging from his mirror. To the best of my memory, it was a figure of a fish, perhaps a dolphin. From the video:

Perhaps Hugh can verify this. As a passenger in the car, I would have preferred it to be a Rosery.........................Frankie
 
It was a blue dolphin Frankie, Shirl had one just like it in her car. A car should fail it's MOT test here in the UK (don't know about mainland Europe any more) if there is something dangling from the rear view mirror. Reason being it could be a distraction for the driver. I'm hoping other videos come up to see.

I'm with you Frankie, nothing hanging from mine as it could be distracting or block vision.

Some of things I've seen over the years makes me wondr how folks see through their windscreen :cool:
 
I wondered why it took so long to become an MOT fail. Previously you could have a sticker or similar obstructing your view and it only failed if it was on the OUTSIDE !!

I hate anything dangling from interior rear-view mirrors, I'm sure some drivers get hypnotised by things swinging around in their vision. :whistle:
So its a nothing from me.
 
That's why I always mount dash cams "behind" the rear view mirror and out of the drivers line of sight.

While walking through Rosthwaite (Lake District) last October, there was car coming slowly towards us and the drivers face was totally obliterated by an iPad mounted on the screen directly in front of him. Idiot of the first degree.

I admit that’s it’s Sarah tilt-o-metre dolphin ...very handy when cornering
 
I love a good old CD hanging to distrat anything. If going old school an 8 track is preferred.
