Having had the centre console out for a bit of tart up and also the seats out to replace the seat belt guides I also decided to changed the bushes as well. The centre storage bin needed changing which became a complete mare of a job has the roll hoops had to be removed including the whole centre section. So my weekend was to basically rebuilding my car!

Did find £3.50 under the seats though!

Looking good Andy, love that interior !! My work trouser pockets have a habit of emptying themselves down the side of the seat too, you can get some of it back but not all, one day................. How durable is the dipping coat going to be, ie chip and scratch resistant?

Tony.

In all honesty Tony to answer your question, I have no idea!
I was told by the guy that done it, that its pretty durable as it has received a couple layers of lacquer.
It can be no worse than before I started and if it does start to deteriorate then I will just have to go back to finding and OEM part from a breakers yard.
I have just bought / found some replacement door cards and they are currently dipping the thin strip inserts to match, hopefully get them back before April when I intend to TAX and get the car back on the road for the summer, cant wait :)
