Personally I'd go with burgundy also. I had a black roof on my old zed and had it changed for a blue one which I loved, they look great on silver. The black roof on the 2.8 needs changing and I'm favouring burgundy at the moment as I fancy a change and they are no more expensive than others if you go to Jack Smith plus you don't see many with burgundy roofs.
I agree but I am in two minds about Jack Smith as I cant find any feedback on Z3 hoods from him only MX5 and that concerns me, how many has he done and where are they all? His prices seem to good to be true.

I can't see a lot of feedback about him either doing Z3's apart from maybe 5 or 6 people that have had them done from him and all of them say the quality is fantastic. There was a guy on one of the facebook groups who had one fitted this week and he was chuffed with it and the quality looked great on the pictures. I used the guy in Croydon previously who charged me £325, but he is close to £400 now with burgundy costing more. I don' think the price is to good to be true as the guy in Croydon has done them at a similar price before and I have used him, as had my dad twice and we cannot fault his work or the hoods themselves, so it can be done its just others charge double the amount normally.

I have seen more expensive hoods and a couple of them look to have a smaller rear window and the stitching that should sit across the bar at the back of the hood sits below it and you can tell its different to the standard ones. I'll be giving him a call next week to get mine booked in as I already have the funds set aside.

No I don't mind at all there is plenty of reviews praising his work and I've seen a lot of Z3 owners comments on how good they are now I've searched. He is quite happy to do burgundy, he has just ran out of material for it though and says it could be up to 8 weeks for him to get more in.
