Had a good close look at a couple of Z4 coupe's at the Brecon run and I'm really tempted. Just need to work out where I can keep it

Nice motor Tony, bet you will miss the Z3 though. 
I'd think you'll be right Bryan, but it's like starting all over again to be honest. I'm looking forwards to the journey.

Yep, life has got a bit boring since selling my Z3
and getting the Z4, Dont get me wrong a superb motor but just not a Z3(Sigh) I dont push it like I used to with the 3, travel everywhere at a sedate pace, it makes you want to do that for some reason?. I am returning 35 mpg with it. Oh god I have suddenly gotten old. Will need to get a cruise going to give it a spanking.
It really intrigues me that over the years the number of members that have switched from a 3 to a 4 and have had the same sentiment, they don't regret owning the Z4 but it just is not a Z3. Having never driven a Z4 its hard to get my head around this, there must be such a difference in feedback from the car or something.

Brian, the Z3 needs to be driven everything needs planning before you commit to getting the best from it (and I have had a few heart stopping moments when I have got it wrong), The Z4 does what you ask of it without having to think about what you are doing, The Z4 is a far more advanced car, and copes a lot better with corners than the Z3, that takes the fun out of it for me anyway, When you get it right with the Z3 you feel a sense of achivement after taking a corner flat out.
Interesting points of view - the co-pilot has been badgering me for a while to get a 4 and I have been adamantly against it. Sat here

My missus Loves the Z4, she even drives it (good thing or bad?) But she hated driving the Z3.
I've a sneaky feeling that I will have the same issue Jim. On the way home Shirl commented on how much comfier the seats are!

For me personally if they Z3 had a better driving position, more supportive seats and a better gear box (perhaps 6 speed so that the revs are lower on the motorway) you've got the perfect 2 seater roadster for all occasions.

The only thing I would like is a 6 speed, that's it.
Tbh. I find the Z4 Auto a cracking motor.The gearbox is great.you have normal mode.then sports button.an finally knock it over to manual.just click click to change gear far quicker than a standard man box.

I'm looking forwards to playing with that Moz. It's certainly got plenty of grunt. Even my 2.0 Auto is plenty of fun in sport mode.
