Yesterday morning at 11.30@Alan Slade and I were standing in the sun at Goodwood watching cars going round the circuit on a TrackDay. Loads of old cars..making loads of noise:thumbsup:

Then less that 24 hours later, Alan was under the surgeons knife having a bit of plumbing done. Had a bit of blood flow problems to the top of his leg which had been making it difficult to walk far. I didnt get ( or wanted to know) all the details as I am a really squeamish when it comes to stuff like that. ( I pass out when having blood tests )

Anyway Maxine informed me all went well and he is back on the ward tonight ...with a 3-5 day recoup in hospital.

Get well soon Alan, and see you soon

Thanks for all the 'Get Well' wishes.
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE GORY DETAILS READ ON:-
Feeling better now, just hope this operation does the trick.
Basically, the history was on 9th April I had an emergency operation for a ruptured aorta. Very painful! Unfortunately there was a problem and the branch of the stent that goes to my right femoral artery was crushed which meant limited blood supply to my right leg, hence I couldn't walk far before the pain started.
The operation I have just had is to join my right femoral artery to the left to get a balanced supply of blood to both legs.
Thank goodness for the NHS and the really clever surgeons.
At least by writing this I won't have to bore you all with the details when we meet up.
Alan

Pleased you’re on the mend ! Yes when it counts the nhs is second to none.

Good to hear your in good hands Alan, hope the re-plumbing is a success:thumbsup:
