What’s this and why would mine be missing?

I noticed recently that I have a gap in the front panel of the engine bay that is normally home to a switch. I had a spurious alarm yesterday for no particular reason for the first time in a while and saw a post somewhere suggesting the usual suspects are tilt sensor in boot, and switch under the bonnet. Is this the switch?

No idea, but I have one that I can swap you for a steering wheel slip ring! ;)

Yes, that's the bonnet alarm switch.

From the response above I may have to keep it then. Currently it is taped 'closed', as it ain't gonna work with my new bonnet. I would still like the slip ring, though! :whistle:
