All I can say is that you must frequent a better class of supermarket than the one's I'm used to attending
I don’t have that problem finding minr either, it’s usually the one where there 2 or 3 people standing looking at it when I get back.

It is a very personal thing isn't it. As we are only discussing looks, I think the pre face lift Z3 is far nicer than the post, I totally dislike the Z3 coupe, looks like a 3 series tourer with the middle cut out to me, that said if money was no object I would most likely buy one for that collection I regularly day dream about. I think the e86 is a fantastic looking car but not overly fussed on the e85.

I've had similar discussions with on lookers in the past, a few years ago someone asked if was a "new model" as they had never a M Coupe before.

Saw this one last year at Munich Legends. I like the look of it even with a wheel missing
Phoenix Yellow with the S54 lump and on less than 70k - doubt they come much rarer than that

Ive always liked the Z3, wasnt a fan of the Z4 however it has grown on me since being on here. Bit like when I was in boarding school and at the start of term the girls were unimpressive to say the least, but by the end of the first term they were all absolutely gorgeous

'...like the one they own...the best.' Well no, on best looking I think the Z3 roadster ,pre or post facelift, there's not much difference. Didn't like the replacement Z4 at all, until I drove one.

What led to the development of the E36/8 M coupe?
The M coupe was developed under the leadership of engineer Burkhard Göschel with the intention of adding increased torsional and structural rigidity to the Z3 roadster chassis. The development team had a hard time convincing the Board of Directors to approve the model for production, but it was eventually given the green light as long as it remained cost-effective to produce. To achieve this goal, as many body panels as possible had to be shared with the roadster, thus the doors and everything from the A-pillar forward are interchangeable between the coupe and roadster, as are most interior parts.
How much stiffer is the E36/8 M coupe platform compared to that of the E36/7 M roadster?
The M coupe has a static structural stiffness of 16,400 Newton-meters per degree of twist, which is 2.6 times as twist-resistant as the roadster. BMW claims this makes the structural stiffness higher than any other model it has ever produced (at the time of development). Dynamic stiffness is rated at 29.2 Hz, the same as an E36 M3 coupe.

I hated everything other than the Z3 at first. Then I became a member on here. Now I like all Zs but my favourite is the Z4 e86 coupe, must try and get another before they take my licence away. Here's what I've owned since 2007. 
Z4 coupe e86 with N52 is my favourite car so far, proper drivers car IMO.10/10. But having said that I wouldn't take anything away from the Z4 e85 roadie with the M54 3.0i even in auto guise it's still a good fairly quick drive if you need it to be. 8/10. Z3 is always going to be the one to beat for looks 11/10. Say no more!!!!!!!!!

zI might be getting older in yrs than you two, don't mean I can't remember some real good outings up there in Lincolnshire.
Just cos all us Z owners get together for outings, don't mean we can't appreciate other cars, like this lotus and owner who we often invite along sometimes to lead or like this time to bring up the rear behind me. Wonder how hard it was for him to keep up. LMAO.
