Depends what sort of plastic. A lot of sledgehammer shafts are plastic - well fibreglass.
 
I got the 3/8" Tite-Reach. Good tool which I use with 1/2" impact wrench. Not sure I would like to try with a plastic tool. But having said that it is amazing how strong some plastics are.

I've got the 3/8 version, too, but the ally one. Quite prepared to let someone else buy the cheap plastic one and see if it's any good.:whistle:Not a tool I use every day, but it ain't half useful when it's needed, wish I'd had one when I was mechanicing for a living, would have saved a lot of knuckle skin and blood.:nurse:
 
So true mate. A useful bit of gear, I used mine most for changing drop links.
