Tony.
Been wondering how it is with you two over in The Flatlands @t-tony
I’ve had a careful and somewhat flooded roads drive into and out the other side of Birmingham today and back. I have to say it’s torrential rain here and the weather forecast is saying more of the same for tomorrow and over the weekend.
We’ll be needing gills at this rate!

I too have just come back from Birmingham with roads flooded, been using the zed last couple weeks, fortunately was in the Focus today otherwise wouldn't have got through what was rapidly becoming a lake under a bridge. M42 dreadful with heavy spray.

Shirl just got home and the Z is outside as the oil burner is p****** water in at the front of the roof.

Been good up to now Adrian, will dry it off tomorrow and see what’s happening with the seals:(. Hopefully some of that liquid gold spray will help.

Tony.

Got a 105 cubic metre soakaway at the back. Got 40 tons of crushed stone in it. Probably holds 60 tons of water. That was full and literally overflowing like a river last week. Never seen it like that in 20+ years. Daren't even go and look now.

You'll have your own swimming pool soon Tony;)

Don't know what all the concern is about, I live on the top of a hill, probably a 1000ft above sea level, If i get flooded its the end :D

We’re a measly 300 feet on a slight hill though. Thankfully next door is a few feet less. I’ve donated the soakaway overflow to them

Went to Grindleford near Chesterfield yesterday. They were pulling several huge trees out the river that had blocked the flow through the bridge. The village had been flooded up the road as a consequence. Must be 25-30 feet higher than the river level. Shocking how at risk what you would expect to be a safe height is.
