Well that's a bit annoying.

Lorries won't be the problem Robert. McDonald's already run there fleet on used oil from the restaurants. Stobarts have a percentage running on gas so others will follow when they need to.

I take your point but it's all hydrocarbons with the associated emissions though. I may be being a bit cynical here, but I can just hear Jeremy Vine running a topic claiming that operating vehicles on used cooking oil is as dangerous as diesel because the particulates contribute to childhood obesity, or some such tosh.
It's not that long ago that the government of the day was giving financial incentives to switch to diesel cars as they were thought to be the saviour of the world. Just like electric vehicles now. Flawed, or at least unproven, science siezed upon by politicians. Not the first time and it won't be the last.

Yep I totally agree Robert. It's all a load of flannel to but Used oil and Gas is slight better than diesel.
It's all a huge pledge they can never possibly substain so I take it all with a pinch of salt, which by the way is terribly bad for you and will no doubt be banned by 2035!

They have pledged to completely kill off diesel by 2050. Obviously this will be impossible but hey let's give them a chance Toby.

Didn't realise they were planning on banning the fuel, thought it was just the sale of new vehicles by 2040.
As you say give em a chance - they manage to mess most things up so why should this be different.

Strangely enough, a diesel car is more environmentally friendly - I.e greener, than an electric one in Germany :)

The Westminster circus and its clowns are only interested in the next election, period.:(
