I've always been a fan of the mx5 but the latest model you show does nothing for me

SWMBO's last car was an MX5 mk1 Eunos, It was getting a bit long in the tooth and needed a bit more tlc than I was willing to invest in it, So, she got the Z3 as a replacement. She really didn't want to part with the MX, but after a couple of days, it was forgotten about.
I, personally liked the mk1 MX, I don't really like the later models, they seem to have lost the plot, they are bigger, and seem to be trying too hard, instead of being a simple, fun, sports car.
In my opinion, the Z3 leaves them for dead in simple 'sportscar ness', I'm not really bias, my weekend car is a 7.
