No zedding again for a few days!!!
I am under house arrest as they are concerned that my lung is not healing properly! Not allowed out in case I catch anything, but too late, as I have picked up a head cold and my medical team go into a frenzy if I start coughing.
They sent me for a scan just before Christmas and have found another shadow on what is left of my right lung. Not sure yet whether it is more cancer or just scar tissue so just have to wait and see. Hope it is OK as I really would like to keep the bits I have left!!!

My new years resolution is not to visit any hospital and I intend to keep it!

Fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear this, hope it turns out to be a false alarm, I quite agree with your new years resolution.

Not a good start to the new year, which is exactly what I texted to @Alan Slade today when he let me know he had been given a ride in an Ambulance after not feeling too well this morning.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to both of you, which I am sure would be echoed by the whole of the Zed community

Thanks Mazza. I spoke to Maxine today and hope Alan makes a speedy recovery. I will contact him in a few days to make sure he is OK.

Keep your chin up mate, and as Mike says, lets hope it's a false alarm

Just about to be discharged from hospital, they are now satisfied that I can be treated by my GP.
Many people and the press criticise Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. but I have nothing but praise for the rapid treatment I have received. Never had so many tests X-rays ECG etc.etc.
One amusing story though. A foreign doctor who I was having difficulty understanding said, "When you came in we considered catheterating you." I heard that as castrating you. A little worrying to say the least.
Feeling one hell of a lot better now and can't wait to get home. As good as the treatment was I don't want any more of it.

Good to see you are on the mend. Now get home and let Maxine and Bertie spoil you for a while.

Best wishes Paul @Dalek and to Alan @Alan Slade for a speedy recovery. That's enough of that now.

Tony.

Great to here Alan. Take it easy mate, that spaniel of yours will give you all the attention you need.

Bit more of a bummer.
I was told I was being discharged this afternoon, Maxine came in to collect me and we waited only to be told that I have to stay another night in order to see the respiratory team tomorrow. I have a pre- booked appointment with oncology in the same hospital, at the same time, apparently I can keep that appointment and return to the ward.
Never mind, at least they have got me feeling well again.
