From this evening the days are getting shorter and you need to have your roof down at every opportunity cos the days are getting shorter from today!

According to the website Time and Date, on Tuesday 21 June the sun will rise in London at 4.43am, and set at 9.21pm, delivering 16 hours, 38 minutes and 22 seconds of daylight.

That may sound a lot, but more northerly areas of the UK see an even longer day – Inverness, for example, will get more than 18 hours of daylight, with the sun rising at 4.17am and setting at 10.19pm.

And if you go even further to the north Lerwick, Shetland’s only town, will get a day lasting 18 hours and 55 minutes, with sunrise at 3.38am and sunset at 10.33pm.

What ever you're doing, enjoy. Me, I'm taking my old mate Ken to get his car MOT done and while we wait we'll have a wonder along the Brayford in Lincoln, maybe visit Maccy D's for some brekky.

Tony.

Possible moral to this story:
1. If you like driving with the top down during the day, you could be doing better.
2. If you like going out with the boys for a few drinks while the sun is still up so you don't have to drive home in the dark, you're DEFINITELY living
in the wrong spot. hmmmmmmm................Frankie

This is from Shetland at 2am on the the 17th June last yeat

I reckon it'll be winter before I get to have the roof down again at this rate! 😂
Still, no worries, I've got a woolly hat!

That's such good news. Down here in the Deep South Pacific, it was -2C this morning and the town up the road was -10C. Looking forward to winter moving on and Summer topless driving conditions returning.

All in the fullness of time Murray. What goes around, comes around mate and we will be the jealous ones then.

Tony.
