What Z work is being undertaken this weekend .
I am fitting this bag of goodies , got the old stuff off today and did a bit of cleaning down there.
Had the wheels redone as the last job was very poor, went to a different guy this time. Also having the anti roll bar and sump guard powder coated.

Very nice Billy those rims will look pretty sharp on your zed .

For me its fitting roll bar set and camshaft sensor to Lynne's zed. :)

I'll be replacing my O/S door mirror since I "lost" mine on the way home. Checked my dash cam video and you can hear it fall off with a bang. Luckily no damage to the paintwork, that's until I clean the car maybe then I might see something.:(
Will have to try an aftermarket one for the meantime as I can't go without the door mirror.

Tony.

Bugger :( have you clipped/been clipped?

I'm planning to carry on with my cylinder head bolt to stud modification. This week I have made a set of head studs from 10mm dia grade 12.9, 130mm long cap head bolts. Simple job really, just cut them to length and put another 10mm dia thread on the other end. I fitted them into the engine block this afternoon. Tomorrow the cylinder head will go back on.

LOVE THOSE wheels mate

b***** :( have you clipped/been clipped?

Overtaking a car on my way home Andy, and a bird changed its mind about crossing the road and clobbered my mirror.:(

Tony.

I have that problem frequently up here with pheasants Tony.

They are particularly stupid.
They can be going away from you on the other side of the road then when your about 5 feet from them they decide to run across straight in front of you:wideyed::wideyed:

Same here Steve, I was lucky not to get collected by a group of small deer around this time last year. That would've made a mess. I think this was a Blackbird as I seem to recall something black hit the mirror before the glass went down the side of the car.

Tony.

Me too mate, a clean will tell. It's bloody loppy at the moment.

Tony.

I'm doing nothing to my Z, in fact I haven't touched it for weeks, Its just too damn cold and I am knackered from working too hard.

Washed mine after getting back from licking up my seats, went to towel it down only to find it had frozen :arghh: Nice to have a break from a passion mate, you'd get bored of it otherwise :)

Its not that I want the break pal, I just really appreciate my weekends at home rather then at the shop working on the Z, I am doing the VANOS seals next week and the intake upgrade shortly afterward, just waiting for @gookah to do his first so I can have his 2.5 kit, I have scrapped the 2.8 swap idea as its just too much work,

Very nice like the wheels. I’m going to be fitting my new lowering springs.

Well mate, if you get a boost from doing the Vanos repair as has been stated, then another from a manifold upgrade it will feel like a different car. As you say a lot of work Sean. Maybe an exhaust such as a Powerflow or similar might add more HP?

Tony.

Intake, exhaust, induction and remap will make a solid difference mate. Ceramic coated exhaust manifold will add a few ponies also.
