Well I'm not getting much time with the top down!!! Rain, rain, rain and now that I'm knocking on a bit I don't particularly look forward to a bike ride in this weather, never used to bother me. Never mind, I've done miles round the spare room. :)

Look at that beautiful weather..Very nice. Down here we get recipes from our met office, for half the year it,s "how to cook lasagna in your letter box", and the other half is "how to grow rice in your guttering" there are a few days when you get weather like that...

Yeah, the two photos above were in Majorca,Spain in August some years ago. The post was about the weather here now, rain, cold and windy. Sleet tomorrow.🥶

Hard to believe this was Blakeney point, North Yorkshire just a few weeks ago, now covered in the white stuff

Christ on a bike! Thats a view Ken is that! Is that the corner of Bellamy Rd?

Blimey, don't think I'd want to ride my bike to Mansfield Dave. :D I took my oil burner for an auto box service at Rose Automatics, Kings Mill Way. There's a cafe, B S Bakers, Maunside nearby where I spent the morning reading while waiting to get the car back. Excellent cafe if you're ever in the area.

Arghhh I know Mark, the owner of Rose's transmissions well, he doesnt work it now, has a guy running it for him. I know exactly which cafe you we're in.

I started cycling again at the ripe old age of 68. A professor at Hardin-Simmons,U. ,who also owned the martial arts studio where I taught fencing, had an annual Bike Ride Across Texas trip that his students did all the planning and logistics as a class project, and needed another adult to help chaperone the students. Trip was from the Gulf of Mexico to Canada, the bottom of the country to the top., about 1300 miles. I made it about 500 miles, as my son had been severely injured in a motor vehicle accident. I have been cycling ever since, riding my age on my birthday. This year it'll be 80 miles, next Wednesday...if it's not 20°F or snowing. 😆
