.... to have so many people on ZRoadster.org that will help when we have problems.
I haven’t been using mine but went out last week the journey short when there was a clonking noise from the rear.
Not good especially when I did the refurb
After a couple of texts from Lee @ Zedshed HQ, ( I have his number on speed dial !!!!) He pointed me to the most likely cause..... and surprise surprise guess what I found !!!
Top nuts of rear shocks not tightened.....ooops!!!!!
Embarrassing for me, but serves as a warning to others as I thought I had been so careful with the refurb.
So a simple fix...... you would think ??
Firstly, in trying to remove the push in carpet stud to get to the top of the shock, I split my thumb nail down the centre.. Oow!!
Then after finding the top nut needed tightening, dropped the 6mm open ended spanner ( used to hold the shaft) so it went under the seat .... f**k it
Then, after eventually getting it all done and putting everything away, decided to give it a short run to test it.......Friggin’ Battery Flat

So it’s now sitting on charge for the rest of the day and test drive will be tomorrow.
One thing I have done is deactivate the tail gate switch so the boot light is not on. I could have removed the bulb but ...... why make things easy for myself
The rod is just pushing on the spring contact in the boot lock.
Hopefully won’t be raining tomorrow although the way it’s gone today it probably will be
