Hi all, I may be talking to the already initiated but I just thought that I'd share my favourite method of applying Waxoyl. A central heating radiator brush. It's long handle and wide, angled head makes it perfect for getting into tight corners or reaching into the hard to reach places whilst keeping your hands free of the stuff. Does anyone remember the Waxoyl originators adds in Exchange and Mart in the 70s? "drives water of mild steel plate in 7 seconds" and "kind to hands" Them were the days!

Hi Chris. I used Waxoyl a couple of years ago on the sills; just before I SORN the Zed over the winter. I noticed a couple of small 'runs' of Waxoyl on the paintwork just before I threw the covers over; thinking I'll wipe that off in 6 months time when the Zed gets back on the road.

WRONG MOVE!! It does exactly what is says on the tin. It sticks like S**t to a blanket and cannot be removed*. :( Thankfully its not very large, hardly visible.....just that I know its there :(

*Unless anyone knows otherwise :)

Refitted our sills today and sprayed waxoyl over inner surface and any other places i can find. Box sections, front wings, rear wings inside doors, so hopefully will keep rust at bay for a while.
