The Z3 1.9 sat in somebody else's shed for 7 years until recently. I have slowly been sorting a few things out and going for the odd short blatt around. The engine needed a new oil filter gasket and O rings so it was an ideal time to replace the water pump. The word is to pull the blighter out with M6 bolts. The only available ones were 25mm long with 1.25 mm threads. (They also come in 1.5 mm.) The top bolt went is as easy you know what but the shape of the pump housing made inserting the bottom bolt awkward and screwing it in was almost tantrum inciting. Now I know that 20 mm long and 1.25mm thread is the go. But you blokes probably all knew that.
