Water Feature problem solved

For anyone that has water features.........

I installed a water fountain about a year ago, and it seem like every 3 days during the summer, I have to clean it due to green stuff in the water, and also little red wormy things that appear......anyway finally found a solution to the problem.....Cheap Sterilsing fluid bought from Savers. I put about 200ml in about a week ago and had no growth and the water is still clear. And no effect on the pump.

Yep. you need to add something to a water feature to keep the crap at bay.

The red wormy things would likely be what's known to anglers as "Blood worm" and are midge larvae. Winter canal anglers used to pay a lot of money for them. Ask Bob Nudd.
