Hi just a warning as there are some sick people out there: I put my Touring Caravan up for sale on Ebay, I had numerous e mails but the first one got the caravan, I was then asked to call by one bidder urgently which I did (stupid idiot that I am), told him it was already sold, and he pestered me to sell it to him, he then started threatening me saying you will be sorry if you don't let me have it and I hung Up, he kept calling back but hid his number (the plank had forgotten I already had it) any way Yesterday Morning Mobile went crazy as well as home land line, this idiot had put two too good to miss adverts on Gumtree one for a van and one for a caravan, phones never stopped all day even though this was reported to Gumtree,

I eventually tracked this numpty down by tracking his number, turns out its a guy called Pablo Walker (Pikey) who livers in St Helier Sutton, spoke to him today and asked him how his wife Celine was doing and That I knew who he was and called him by his name Pablo Walker, the phone went quite for a 10 seconds, and then the abuse started telling me he was putting a Gypsy Curse on me and my whole family, He has been reported to the Police who are now taking action as I recorded all the conversations I had with him...

He trades on E Bay as we-buy-anything-98, check his feedback and the feedback he has left as a buyer.

So Lesson Is DONT GIVE PHONE NUMBERS OUT....And don't deal with this man on E Bay,
Oh and if anyone fancies giving this guy a ring and giving him a bit of verbal his number is <<REMOVED BY ADMIN>> (the 141 at the start of the number will stop him getting your number)

That is one worrying story - thanks for the heads up - cannot be too careful in communications these days!

Scary stuff Jim, but I can't allow the posting of his phone number here - too much potential fall out and I don't want a gypsy curse on me.

Scary indeed, best left well alone as Pikey's are one part of the "community" that will "recalubrate" you in the blink of an eye. Stay well clear as they are very well connected.

Something few people know.

Just because the caller doesn't send their number doesn't mean the network doesn't have it. Actually you can change the number that is sent from PABXs anyway.
There is within the all call records (used for billing) at every node (or at least at the originating node and at your end) something called Network CLI. That is always present and can be obtainedfrom the network provider although you will need a court order to get it. Something the police can do if a crime has been committed. Not sure if many know that though.
Not only that you will a location for fixed lines and cell ID and approx location for mobiles. With triangulation off multiple masts you can get very close.

Some bored SAS mates might come in handy as an insurance policy.

Can you not find the static caravan site that hosts his mobile home/homes take a few pics and return the favour via Gumtree... Can you imagine a rival bunch of travellers decending on his site trying to swap his home for a few lurchers.... Could be fun to watch. ? Not that I'm stereotyping people with traveller heritage or anything :bored: having said that the only real first hand experiences I've had with travellers have not been positive... They used to come into my shop in groups of 6 or more buy about 100 quids worth of stuff but nick about 150 quids worth and then there was the time I was knocked off my bike in a hit and run outside a static caravan site...just generally bad news.

I had a jetski on ebay few month back, it sold elsewhere so I went to take it down and someone pressed buy it now. I explained it sold elsewhere and the threats started. He said he knew where I lived so I sent him my full address and said see you in a few hours....
Never turned up :(=))

Good advice.

Don't wind them up.

Scum! Can't stand them! Sorry to here you've had trouble Jim. We've had dealings with pikeys in the past and it can get nasty. If you have balls of steel and do stand up to them they do tend to respect you for it and leave you be.
We had trouble with a private plate we sold some years ago with a scammer from Nigeria. We cottoned on from the off and I sent him several extremely polite :Debay messages and they threatened hit men at my front door and all sorts. Of course nothing ever happened. If we sell anything of value now days I just tend to put an ad on Facebook and ask friends to spread the word. Had no trouble at all with it. EBay on the other hand............

I could arrange for some unethical hacking of his phone. Make his life a misery. Easier than you think to do.

That's the last time I buy any clothes pegs off him or his missus :)
Don't you know any Witches that could put a spell on him - I'd ask the wife but she's out collecting toads
