For Sale Wanted, Z3 boot case

Hi Everyone,

I've now missed out on 2 Z3 hard luggage cases on ebay. Does anyone know of one for sale, perhaps sitting unused in the back of your garage? Let me know folks. Cheers.

Hi Phil, although I have three of them I'm not actually looking to sell. However I'll let you into a secret - the case was not specific to BMW Z3, you will find that they were used on the MG TF albeit without 'Z3' embossed on the lid, apart from that they are identical and fit straight onto the OEM BMW rack, one of my three is for an MG TF, brand new and has a little MG octagonal badge just stuck on. Paid I think around £45. Even the Rover 75 used them (owned by BMW then?) but those have a lid that is squared off on the edges but again fit the Z3 rack. Try looking under MG TF on ebay, a case of biding your time. People do ask silly money for Z3 ones, although again I paid around the £50 mark for genuine Z3 cases (again one was new). You're more likely to get an MG version cheap as folk aren't looking for them. Good luck

That's what the forum is all about HT, sharing of information which makes this site what it is. If Phil is desperate I think Rimmer Bros in Lincoln (Triumph / Rover specialists) list the cases as a stock item still - mind you you'll have to pay their silly price

Wow! Thanks for the advice. That's really helpful. I can put up with an MG logo if I can get one for that price. The ones that I've seen on eBay have been £300 plus

Thanks. Really loved that combo & the retro feel of the boot rack, allegedly fitted from new, though arguably the wrong way round Ah BMW main dealers... Lol
