Thoughts please. Checked out another 97 Z3 1.9l on the weekend. Immaculate body in arctic silver, due soon for a new soft top.Runs great, no thumps and bumps from the back or tram lining , but at 60 mph plus it becomes very light in the front and ready to go anywhere it wants. Has just past a roadworthy inspection (UK MOT) and the front tyres are close to chuckemout time. This car is way different to my red Zed that hugs the road at 80. Apart from tyres, what else could be causing this?

Best guess would be tracking out mate. How are the front tyres worn, if on insides toeing out too much.

Tony.

Perhaps it just likes going ‘ walkabout’ =))=)):whistle:

My previous zed was exactly the same tyres were about half worn but quite old , changed the tyres and car was like night and day no more wandering , as your tyres need changing I'd start there

If the seller is known to you maybe you could swap wheels front to rear if the rear tyres are good. That would eliminate the tyres as the issue?
Does sound tyre related problem TBH.

Tony.

Good thinking. This is for a mate who wanted my red Zed. Seems we will be taking the Wanderer to his place to put up on the hoist and will swap the tyres over and take her for a good blat and hope she doesn't go airborne.
