Dear Z Friends,
First of all, I would like to send you my warmest ZZZ greetings from Germany, more precisely from Adenau near the Nürburgring.
My wife Ruth and I own two Z3s as our "toys" and out of pure passion: a Roadster and a Coupé. As the founders of the BMW Z3 Coupé Community, we have been fortunate to establish international contacts, many of which have developed into lasting friendships.
Several years ago, we visited England on a number of occasions and were delighted by your warmth and hospitality. We travelled through Devon, almost all the way to Land's End, and visited the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which, for us, remains the finest classic motorsport event we have ever attended.
Over the years, a number of friendships were formed, and we are still in touch with some of those friends today. During one of your tours through Germany and into Switzerland about ten years ago, organized by Roger Meijers, I had the pleasure of meeting Hugh Humphreys. He kindly invited us to stay in his holiday cottages and use them as a base for exploring Wales. We are finally planning to make that happen next year.
From 4 June to 16 June 2027, ten of us will be travelling in six Z3 Coupés through the UK, and we would be delighted if we could meet some of you along the way. Perhaps we could enjoy a drive together, renew old friendships, and make some new ones.
We are very much looking forward to seeing old friends again and meeting new ones!
