Vivaaaaaaaa Las Vegas Report.

@Andy McDonnell have you got any pics of you bungie jumping off the hoover dam ?

You can take a coach out but if you fly out then take the Chopper into the base you hug the cliffs and really get to see the detail.
The helicopter flight is supposed to be amazing. The downside they have the greatest number of helicopter accidents in the world or so I heard

Great photos - not sure I would ride in a helicopter though, no matter where! :arghh:

If you've never done it David, I would say it's a feeling like you're "hanging from a hook in the sky". We first tried it in St. Lucia in 2005 on our Silver Wedding year holiday, from the airport to the hotel at the other end of the island, but, on hearing the horror stories about the local "taxi" drivers antics on the so called roads the next day we found the holiday rep and booked to go back to the airport by helicopter too. Glad we did some great scenic views from not too far up!

Tony.

I would imagine they do get a few dings per year, 120+ take off and landings a day with just the company we used :nailbiting:

Its fantastic - I wouldnt want to ride one with only one engine though.
We did a helicopter ride around Barbados many years ago - First time. loved it to bits. Especially when we flew out over the bay at Bridgetown and over a wreck. To give us a good view, the pilot hovered and then tilted the helicopter sideways so we could see straight down - wicked.
We then flew up the Atlantic coast where the waves were 15-20' high. We skimmed the tops at about 20'.
The best ride ever - except for....oh- Thats another story....

Glad you had such a great trip, that's what I call a real Birthday present.
Roy.
Your only 50 once so we thought we'd push the boat out. Yvonne has chosen an Italian tree house for hers.
