@t-tony any room for another one? @Andy McDonnell where are setting off from this time mate, passing Chorley by any chance? I might be able to make Ollerton too.

I think Andy is coming from home. Meal could be a problem but you could get something up at the IBCC.

Tony.

@Andy McDonnell want to pick me up on your way past - Charnock Richard or Rivington Services depending on M6 or M61 route?

I'll meet you guys at Ollerton too.

I'll be coming down the east coast mate, A1 and so on then stopping short overnight to lesson the days drive Sunday.

I did think it would be a long drive for you. I'll see you at Ollerton or the Swan then.
Too much for one day, did it once and was on my chin strap by the time I got home and crawled out of the car.

well sorry going to have to miss this now heatlh not to good can't drive have a great day out hope the weather's good

Sorry to hear that Pete, hope you're soon on the mend mate.

Tony.

Hi Tony / everyone,

The saga of the drivers seat rolls on! All the correct parts & all fitted. But, the seat belt fasten on the new seat base is faulty & the seat belt warning light won't extinguish! Garage don't have time to finish the job today, so won't get her back until Monday. We are therefore going to have to leave tomorrow. Hope you all have a great day & hope to be able to come on a run with you another time.

Phil

That's a shame Phil. Thanks for letting me know.

Tony.

Just to confirm, I'll be at Ollerton @ 10:30am to meet up with @Jjim @Andy McDonnell @Keet ?
Yup. I'll be there but a tad earlier as I've just canoed across the A66 and via a diversion out into banjo country through running water up to the cill tops so Bella needs a jet wash :arghh:

Windscreen washers have taken early retirement and are now in for councelling. Not see rain/wind like that for a while!

Andy what was the a66 like I have to cross it tomorrow
If it's lashing it down mate find another route if you can. There's a weekend diversion that takes you out in the sticks for about 30 mins down Country lanes. Every dip is flooded (as are the fields), I got through but only just. The water was up to my cill tops mate and had foliage in my fog lights :arghh: rabbits nose and twitching mate :nailbiting:

Edit: a couple of the road work lips are suspension rattlers also when you get back on.

Oh dear I hope this weather is going to clear for you, it's not looking great for tomorrow.

Periscope, oars, rudder and arm bands already used today mate, may as well make best use of them.

Standard kit when you live in the Lakes. !!!!!?
Yup. Though the A66 over to the A1(M) was a shocker mate. My pipe cleaner arms were on fire trying to keep the car in a straight line with the side winds. She took it a dream though mate TBF

Apart from the gusty winds, it's been lovely here today, the sun shone for most of the afternoon . Raining now though .
