Great weekend, fantastic company, the best line up of cars at the show ( even if we didn't win it), and some wonderful photos.
Thank you all for making it such a special weekend.......

My s***'s custom!
I really enjoyed this weekend. From the moment we left Derbyshire with our little convoy to arriving back home last night. Great location, great cars and better people!

Massive thanks to @GazHyde for organising our passes again, to @pgunter for orchestrating the motorised ballet in getting the stand laid out and for everyone who came along to the BBQ camp the night before.

I also want to thank everyone for getting into the spirit of the little fun competition on the stand this year. It made for a nice little addition and folk seemed to really get involved which was great to see and thanks for the votes that let me bring something home again, @Beemer Boy is still absolutely buzzing. You'd think he'd won an oscar for what those little lumps of plastic seem to mean to him!

VanityBMW is going straight to the top of my "must do" events next year, I hope to see you there again.

Yes it was a great cake. Angie also baked a gluten free one so @Nodzed could enjoy the fun. Lucky me as she's a great cook.

Neil, you should join us on a few other runs too. 24th September BMW HQ and a drive over the South Downs. Will be fun. Sign up soon.
Can you tell me what time this meet would start at the BMW HQ and will the drive take in a spot of lunch. Wife's birthday that day

Oh, and thanks to those that voted for my car, you made a 9 year old boy very happy, even though he is now convinced that its "his"car as he got the trophies!

Just a quick update. There is a bit of sour grapes going down between a couple of the groups that attended, which I would like to stress had nothing to do with us, no names... Two competing groups comprising one established group, and another who split away and started their own. One of those groups won, and the other took exception and started throwing mud and allegations all over the place.

What I hadn't realised was as we missed the Best Show Stand announcement, was that we were placed second out of the 17 group stands! As we heard later from someone else that another group won, we walked off back to our stand to carry on with the day. I was forwarded a screen shot of a post from one of the judges, which I've cropped to leave the relevant stuff to us.

"It was very close between the Southern E39ers and the Roadster group". So nice to have been recognised for the hard work everyone put in to the event :highfive:

I thought our anchor design looked great from the air, being near the sea and all. Genius.

Obviously too subtle for the judges.
