Things are often cheaper in Swansea than Swindon. They even have a lower pricing tier in McDonalds!

But if I was Mr Smith (not sure he's Jack by the way - Raymond I think) I would be edging my prices up. He'd probably still have the same volume of business at £350 or even £400 as he'd still be a deal at that price. So get in quick and join the queue in case ;)

Toothpaste works well with a buffing wheel in my experience, also good for polishing the wife's jewellery. Also how much for the arm parts, I need a spring, tube and retainer to get my Ashbandicoot (RIP)side mirror onto my car with the sticker on it? JIM
@oldcarman sorry I've taken a while to respond. The arm part is complete and appears undamaged (it was certainly solid whilst on the car) I don't know how useable the spring parts are though, I'm not sure how it all works as it is complete. The wing mirror didn't rotate (I don't know if it should) so to take it off I just removed the cover (plastic body). You probably know better than me if this is any use to you.

Thanks

They are a nightmare to turn off the car, easy once fitted though. Make sure its turned so you can access the holes for the bolts to go through so it can be fitted and don't try and turn it to the normal position to see how it looks before installation.

I just haven't turned it. I am too worried it would break and at nearly £100 a side I don't want to risk it. To fit it I just took the mirror off and the cover too and then used an Allen key to tighten the bolts, one side is easy the other doesn't have good access so takes a bit more time. Cheers

Fitted on of the X8R mirror arms on mine and couldn't turn it while it was off the car, once it was fitted no problem turning. Just a bit stiff, and not much leverage to hold and turn while it's off the car.

Forgot you can take the covers off the standard mirrors to fit the bolts. I have ///M mirrors which I decided to turn off the car and you can't get the covers off to fit the bolts so it was a struggle turning it back into the folded position
