You were lucky to catch a shot like that Tony. Not often you see them when your walking let alone driving. Great bits of kit the dashcams, they allow us to get all sorts of things. Last year when we were in Europe going to Grindalwald we caught the Jet fighter taking off from the Airfield Base. We would not of been able to get them on camera as they were too quick but got them on video

Great spot Tony :), lucky you were going slow enough to capture it :D That stretch is usually quite fast :coolsteer)'cough'

Too true Bill, these are truly amazing birds. We once found a dead one which had probably been hit by a vehicle and when we picked it up it was literally as light as a feather and it's plumage was like silk. We had one fly into the front room window at home a while back, and it left a perfect impression of its face on the glass, but we didn't find it so it must have recovered and flown away.

Tony.

Really ??;)=))

They are beautiful birds and a rare sight but I saw them several times on my journey to work and back around dawn and dusk. About 10 miles was down country lanes. :)

Same here at those times Mike, just unusual during bright daylight, must've been feeding chicks I think. Now we have LED street lighting past our house you don't spot them as easily as the old Sodium lights used to pick them out. They're quiet common down the stretch of road we saw that one yesterday for about 2-3 miles, must be good hunting grounds on mainly turf fields.

Tony.

Rare in the daytime. Almost certainly feeding a nest.
I've seen one late at night when walking the dog last thing. Beautiful but scary as hell when you see a silent white flash out of your peripheral vision.
The bats were out reeling around the night sky a few night ago. Love watching them.

Ideal bat feeding weather in the late evenings last week Ian.

Tony.

Lmao, I drive past your house all the time
Well you should call in some time and say hello mate. You don't work in Lincoln then, like me?

If I ever get my Z3 working I may pop by if you don't mind

I / we travel past that way to get to Gainsborough as we have family there

Any zedders always welcome here Matt.

Tony.

That's lovely @t-tony :p
It's great to see in real life ;)
We see one a couple of years ago near my mums ;)

What a great sight Tony, certainly not something you see everyday.

You seem to be really lucky spotting wildlife Tony, I think you had a close encounter with a muntjac deer recently too?
