Unknown pipe in my boot??

There is this white pipe in the right hand side of my boot

Could someone please tell me what it does and where it connects to?
It goes down near to the spare wheel if that helps, through the boot floor

That's the battery breather pipe. Fits onto the nipple on your battery

Lots of threads about this. As others have said, it’s to vent the battery, but not all batteries have vents. Just leave it…in case you get a vented battery one day

I wonder if EVs have a piece of 2" drain pipe, as they have rather big batteries (so I hear)?

I did try and search around for a thread on this! However not knowing what it was didn't make it easy!
