Under bonnet shots

Inspired by @Stevo7682 recent gleaming M44 engine picture, thought I would spend a couple of hours tidying up my engine bay. Quite pleased with the result.

Need a bit more shine on the twin cam cover but the paintwork came up a treat, with a bit of polish and elbow grease.
Any more pictures for comparison?

My 1.9 needs the cam cover sorting but rest looks ok

Had spare cam cover, inlet manifold etc as had to rebuild the engine on Lynne's zed so time to work on them off the car .
Further work has been done since engine bay pictures taken .

Got my Z3 a few weeks ago and used it last week for a 800 mile tour for work from Northumberland to Stevenage, Oxford and Cambridge and back (OK not too exciting but give me a chance to bond with her

Just a heads up, for anyone here that also has the cover missing off the pos terminal under the bonnet like this one. A cap off a throw away camping propane can is a really nice fit, and red...Might save you a nasty surprise too...

This is my engine bay before I give it the deep clean and detailing treatment it deserves!
Could be awhile before that happens, but will post an “after” shot later on if I remember.
