Here in Texas , I'm.payng $330 per month for my suv and the Z3, and for my 19 yr old grandson and his KIA Soul. He is listed as a second driver. Without him on my insurance I was paying $132 a month. If he was paying for his own insurance, full coverage, he wouldn't have enough left in his paycheck for gas. A teenager here , no matter how sensible and good a driver they are, has to pay high premiums due to the dismal record of their peers. My insurance in California, for personal injury and liability only, was $ 2,000 a year for just my '74 Porsche 911.That was 25 years ago, God only knows what it would be today...

I can understand why people want to leave the UK. It isn’t just about insurance premiums: our standard of living and what this country used to be are seriously eroded. With political masters pulling the strings, I fear where we are heading. This is not exclusive to the UK and I wonder where really in the world is the ideal, values-based, freedom-loving country to go to. My insurance for my Z3 was more this year but that’s really down to my not knowing where the heck it was!!! Never trust a certain car repairer ever again!

Did you eventually get your car back?

Eventually! After six months of not knowing where the heck it was!!! It’s in a state!!! Not roadworthy. I’m going to post on here this weekend as it’s making a knocking noise from the underneath and I need help to identify what it is. That’s for a separate post, though.
