Hi all,
Quick question, I need to replace the rear tyres on the stock wheels .what is the widest I can go on them, without having to.do any modifications or changing the wheels?
All standard setup.

Thanks

8-1/2 inch rear wheel 255 is widest recommended

Ok thanks. I was hoping to have a fair bit wider at rear, so may just purchase new wheels all round.

What's the best setup I should go for?

Wider wheels/tyres provides for a great stance - particularly with a deep dish.

would wider tyres induce tramlining or help eliminate it ?

Oh no, not the tramlining question. If you have a look back on here over the last few years you'll find a lot of discussion of exactly this, with more opinions than any sane person would want to shake a stick at. By and large it seems that having matching reasonable quality tyres all round is the answer. Plenty of people on here with pretty much every combination of wheel/tyre size all with different effects. And then there's the suspension bush differences, again plenty of combinations available. As many answers as cars, it seems.

Think I might just got 200mm spacers and 235 rears on the 7.5j wheels .will.leave the fronts at 225 as they fit the arches perfect!
