Exactly the same as the ones I opted for Tracy. Had no problems with them:thumbsup: Mine were 245/40R17 91W FALKEN ZIEX ZE914 @ £87.54 per tyre though.

Delivered Saturday from Tyre leader superb service and the tracking was spot on.
Fitted today just across from where I live so will be testing them out tomorrow and Friday for work
Hopes there's a big improvement.
All jobs done and ready to roll just filthy at the moment.
PS what tyre pressures do you guys run on this size of tyre ?
Been using 2 bar 30 psi that's what inside the door shut says.

Tyre Leader is a great company for tyres. My local tyre fitter now gets his tyres from them as they are cheaper than he can get them from his wholesaler in the UK.. Enough said.. and I now get a discount on my tyres being fitted. Result. A very good choice Tracey.

I've got to admit I normally buy a decent midrange such as a uniroyal rain sport or Goodyear etc but when I bought my Z3 it came with an unknown cheap brand called landsail and I was really expecting the worse and to be honest it feels very grippy in all weathers with these tyres on more so than the Pirelli P6000s which are on all 4 wheels of my E36 compact which is essentially the same car as my M44 Z3.

Whereabouts I live it's all concrete roads and I've only got to touch the throttle in the damp in the e36 and it starts spinning yet with the landsail tyres I don't have any grip issues in the z3 so all I can to the topic is don't waste your money on Pirelli P6000s and not all cheap brands are all bad.

I have to agree, we sell Landsail brand tyres and to be honest some of the names given to Chinese made tyres put you off before you see how good they are. These are get good reviews from customers also re good mileage too.

Tony.

A bit off topic but on tyres none the less. Working at JLR was chatting to one of the dynamics boys about the zed and he was telling me the sport contact was quite a soft compound. Anyway we were talking about handling and he recommended putting an extrange .2 bar in, so I have been running 2.2 front and 2.4 rear and it does make a big difference. It turns a lot sharper there seems to be less body roll, all round an easy win. Wear seems okay as been this way since the start of the year. Careful in the wet though ;)

Interesting. I run 2.2 all round, I'll give 2.4 a go and see if I find any differance. Thanks:thumbsup:

So is that 2.2 bar on 225 50 16s on a 1.9 Z ? Or stick to recommended 2.0 bar

New tyres seem tons better tonight but not a real test as its wet and wild out there so no real speed.

Well I use 2.2 front and 2.4 rear. The car is a bit more neutral in my opinion in the dry, in wet starts to oversteer if you are on the power early however keep the TC on and you should be fine but still understeers if your too fast in to a tight turn. This is based on the same tyre size but the conti sport contact. Not used anything else so wouldn't know
