Tyre losing pressure

Can anyone help with this;
One of the rear tyres on my Zed is losing pressure so I took it in to my tyre shop and they dunked the wheel in a tank of water because there was no sign of a puncture and we wondered if it was leaking from the rims.
However upon putting it in we could see a very small air leak from one of the split rim nuts on the inside of the wheel.
The wheels are the five star schnitzer type II racing alloys. It has got the nuts and bolts that go all around the rim and in this circle of nuts and bolts behind each spoke there is what looks like a captive bolt with a torx nut on it and it is one of these that has the small air leak.
Can I simply attempt to undo this and put some silicone or something behind it and torque it back up, while the tyre is deflated, leave it overnight and torque the nut back up, or as I am suspecting, is it not as simple, can someone on here please advise.
I hope explanation is adequate.

You maybe able to seal just the single bolt but in all honesty the only way to do it properly would be to have the wheel split and completely resealed, worth a try resealing the single bolt first but try ringing a few tyre places or alloy wheel specialists for some professional advice. I can't recommend anywhere I am afraid but hopefully someone will come along and point you in the right direction.

Thanks Aceman, I am just a bit concerned that if I undo it, it may make it worse.
I have talked to 4 wheel refurbers and so far no-one will touch them as they are 3 part, even local Bmw dealers said they use Wicked Wheels and they wont do it.
Trouble is I dont know enough about them and so am reluctant to touch it unless I am reassured it wont make it worse.
Also I dont know the correct torque setting for the nut, assuming I can get it off.

Just a though try giving Jonttt a PM he has these wheels amongst other AC types and has had some refurbed in the past. John usually researches things to death when he purchases things so will probably know everything there is to know about them.

You need to split the rim to seal that properly. Procedure is...

You need to remove the tyre and split the rim. Remove all the old sealant and make joint nice and clean. Use some good quality clear silicone sealant and apply all round outboard of the fixing holes. Bolts the shells together and torque up. You then need to apply more silicone in the v joint and smooth off with finger. Leave to set for 24 hrs before getting the tyre refitted. Simples.

Thanks again guy's, just wondering though, as the nut that is leaking is one of the ones behind one of the 5 spokes it looks as if the bolt is maybe a captive bolt and therefore in my ignorance I cant see the benefit of splitting the rims, as I would presume you cannot access the bolt and so to seal under the nut seems a reasonable idea.
Am I wrong to think this? Would there be any harm in trying it to see if it works first, it seems a lot of work and the leak is fairly minor.
