Twin or single Vanos

Power is pretty much the same, The twin vanos torque will come in lower. The TU is also fly by wire throttle and the Single vanos is throttle cable, that's also a good way to tell, One has a disa one has a throttle body. Personally I prefer the single vanos.

There’s always one out of the 10+ 2.8s that have been through the garage I’ve never seen that setup before. That’s cool though best of both worlds.

The TU is a hybrid of both cable and Fly By Wire, The cable is used by the foot pedal, the FBW is used for cruise control and ASC

One thing we’ve noticed in the garage is how the Z3 varies so much between year and shape. Paul’s 3.0 has cats halfway down the car and not in the manifolds. BMW must of had a spare parts bin in the factory

I know we all love our Z3's but as we know it was always a parts bin car from the outset, a mish mash of 3 series and compact.

Me to grumps,tools down everyday for pop master,even though my average is around 18 points,a questions is only easy iff you know the answer,back on the m50 conversion ,I did one 5 years ago on my old Zed,it transformed it,it will pull almost all the way the redline with feeling flat,but iff you don't drive hard it's still worth doing,as irons out flat spots ,and feels a lot more punchier,with a good induction system.

I listen to pop master everyday at work, some days I only get 6 points and others into the 20's

Started a list today of what I need,
2 rear wings,
2 front wings,
N/S sill
aerial grommet,
2 door handle seals
2 boot struts, actually only need the end fixing
O/S front wheel arch liner
Bonnet and boot emblems,
Thats the main stuff for now, I'm sure there will be more,
Once the Z fund is healthy I will be asking on here for most of the above.

My m52 tu ,has a throttle cable to,they were fitted off so many diffrent parts back in the day.
