TV

On Sunday we bought a new Panasonic Viera 50" Smart tv with built in wireless connection for £499 from Home Bargains

Tesco teknica tvs are the biz, best out there

Ours is a 55" 3D LG Smart TV, Brilliant bit of Kit. 800 hrtz: http://www.lg.com/uk/cinema3d/cinema3d/cinema3d.jsp 3D a fad? dont agree, a lot of the current films are 3D one of the best is Avatar watching this in standard format just dont cut it, but the 3D version is awsome. Look at the refresh rate before buying, make sure it has a quick refresh rate (hrtz) Check out 3D world on the LG 3D Tvs, the best 3D available, will blow your mind.

The new OLED (but at a cost, and include the curved screens) are the next big thing so keep this in mind when buying a TV.

I have the Samsung UE55D8000 55" 3D smart tv

If I had the chance i would go bigger, 3d is a gimmick but can give good viewing with the right movie ( when you can be bothered getting the glasses)

unlike some i much prefer the picture from an led tv rather than plasma.

If you get a high response refresh rate led it will beat a plasma any day, altern get a HD projector. 3D is not a gimmick with all new films being made in 3D, I would recommend passive 3D any day and a good samsung 3d Blu Ray player. I have mine coupled up to a Yamaha 3D AV system with 3.1 surround it is awesome, wish my room was big enough for 7.1, but you need an auditorium really for that. The good thing about the AV is the airplay,

You lost me after "if you get" I have no idea about this stuff ,feeling a little more dumb than usual, but I have found the on button I'm working on how to change channel

It's as BMG said (hate to say it) about the interconnects - cables , sound box (AV), speakers etc that makes the experience , just like going to the cinema in reality, you can get a good experience by just getting a sound bar and decent blu ray player, or like me get an AV set up, to connect your sky, game console, blu ray and iPod, iPad etc with thunderous audiophile sound

And what's wrong with me being right now and again?

Who's upset you.

We upgraded a while back to a new Samsung. LED Smart TV with 46 inch screen.
Watching England lose their matches in full HD was nearly as awesome as the 1.9i. !

We'll at least the 1.9i joke is aimed at the M43 boys, the M44 was not known by this designation, only the face lift cars.

IMHO the 1.9 is the original the 3.2 is the best, everything else is just an incremental waste of money for the BMW snob generation.

You know if you feel you have something to say you shouldn't keep it in, let it out or you could become bottled up like BMG or HT. lol JIM
