Tried a clay bar kit today , on offer at halfords is a Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay kit with 20% off at £23.99.

Comes with everything you need and an extra clay bar.

When I started to use this I thought it made know difference , but when polished afterwards paintwork goes like glass!!

Well worth the money and time.

Also gave the car its first wash today , bit nervous as I hadn't been out in the rain , fortunately NO LEAKS

It's hard to imagine what difference it makes until you try it.
You can keep using your clay bar. just keep folding it in on itself.
Can use ordinary tap water as the lubricant. Don't have to resort to expensive liquids.

Looks dirt cheap on ebay, what is the difference between regular,medium etc? Hpw exactly do you go about it having never used it, I recently compounded my 1.9 but didn't get to wax it so would like to clay it first.

I had never used a clay before , easy to use , full instructions with kit , wanted to buy a well known brand though , I don't suppose you can do much damage with a smooth surface clay so I went for that one .
