Someone posted a video on the local village website this morning showing the Trent was about to over top the 1st flood bank.
Since then this is at Torksey Lock.

Keep filling the sandbags Tony ;) - hopefully it wont get much higher, fingers crossed for you.

No good looking at weather for Torksey Lock, the Trent is fed from much further a field, its basin is huge so you may get a little higher yet, being tidal wont help either.

Looks like a flood plain doing what it does.

It has never flooded here in all my 64 years so I won’t loose any sleep over it.

Incredible footage of the new Mercedes ML driving through this Nottingham ford, but impressive drive through backwards by the older ML!

Here are some pictures from Facebook. Not mine, taken by a drone.

You can see the Pump house where I took the pictures from yesterday in this one.

These two are a couple of miles away near the Millfield Golf course at Laughterton.

Locals at Laughterton concerned about cracking on 1st flood bank and water coming through rabbit holes in secondary banlk.
EA been informed.

Tony.

That sounds cause for concern.

We had similar on the bank at the back of the pub a few years ago and the EA said if the standing water is clear don’t worry, if it’s dirty (ie. washing soil through), different matter) .

Tony.

Today at Laughterton.
