We usually head to France this time of the year to ride our bikes with some friends over there. But one of the Brexit bonuses is if we travel with our bikes in the van like we usually do we will need a travel carnet that guarantees that you will bring your bike and gear back and not sell it without paying taxthe trouble is it’s has to be for 40%of the value plus the price of the carnet which is £250. If we ride our bikes over it’s free but a long way to go on a dirt bike. A friend of mine that runs a track day company that operates a lot in Spain can get away with it as he pays for one carnet per truck and takes out an insurance policy for the value which makes it much cheaper per person but at the moment we’re stuffed. The sooner we’re back in the better lol.
