Anybody got experience of towing a Z3 on an A frame?

I assume its simple, but never done it. Also got to buy the A frame :)

Don’t see why not. But remember the car has to be MOT’d, taxed and insured if any wheels are in contact with the ground.

I did, was a doddle. Feel free to use my A frame if you want.

P.S scary seeing the steering wheel spinning on its own in the mirror :)

As the Z3 is > 750kg, it needs to have brake activation, which is a good idea anyway.

Also... its to take the car back to France, and that a long trip.. also the legal situation in france is somewhat unclear.

Hmmm.. dunno what to do.

Personally I would hire a car transporter or car trailer. I’m currently sorting out my zed being transported from Germany back to the U.K.

I've hired a car transporter before to get my 3.0 back from Scotland. Around £120 a day from memory.

Great fun btw and not difficult to load up and drive. Just make sure it's secured properly unless you want it coming through the cab when you brake hard.

However they seem to be funny about how far and where you take them. One company turned their nose up at me taking it as far as Scotland from Swindon.

It took RAC three weeks to bring my zed home from Brugge
