OK Folks, Time I got back into organising a few events.

This is a just in the planning proposal stage at present but I am wondering how many on here would like to join a run over to the Irish Atlantic Coastal Drive with our friends from Holland and Germany, Possibly a few from Spain and our Irish members. Just in the early stages of this and a rough date will be posted when I have feedback from the Irish Tourist Board. The length of time of the event would be around between 7 to 10 days on Ireland depending upon how much of the full route we can fit in.

A ferry crossing would also need to be arranged from who gives us the best possible value. Once I have details I can post up a few possible run suggestions. It will as always be a great deal of fun.

Lets see then who might be interested in a Spring or Late summer run over the water ?

It maybe that we do Dublin, Cork, Galway & Sligo around the coastal route then back to Dublin. Will be a trip of a lifetime with the scenery that's on this route.

Have a look at this web link.

Definitely keeping my eye on this thread, Paul. Sounds a cracking idea. I just need to check with the wife who is a teacher, because the liklihood is I'll have to fly solo.

We did part of the route you have outlined driving an E46 M3 back in 2010 from Galway (motorway from Dublin after ferry crossing from Holyhead) along the coast to Sligo and then cross country to Ballymoney. Scenery was stunning, the roads especially the motorways were so quiet and a pleasure to drive on. We headed to Ballymoney to see the Joey & Robert Dunlop memorial garden, then on to Giant's Causeway at Bushmills and The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge at Ballintoy.
Ferry from Larne back to Stranraer. Trip took us about 9 days if I recall.
Really enjoyed the trip which I can thoroughly recommend, fuel economy was unbelievable.
I won't be joining you but look forward to seeing how the planning of ToIAC progresses and the results/photos when completed.

I've driven that route back in the 90s in my old Clio Williams a couple of times (not that it had a name back then).
Yes, date dependent, I'd be interested.

Linda and I am interested in principle; would need to be in a school holiday period (Easter/Summer) though for us?
