Hi, iv just replaced both top suspension mounts (front), slight splitting of the rubber. Original mounts, not bad, 16 years old.
Easy job, just care needed with the spring clamps.
Original BMW parts seem to last a long time. I think with a performance car it's definitely an ongoing replacement of all rubber bushes.

At that age all the rubbers will slowly need doing.

i'm the same as you and in the last 2 years have replaced:

Top mounts (front and rear)
ARB bushes front and back
Diff bush (Polybush)
RTABs(Polybush)
Rear beam bushes (Polybush)
Gearbox bushes (Polybush)

Just got engine mounts to go o_O

oh and the Guibo

Seems to be a fact of life if you love your Z3.
Once all of these components are replaced they hopefully will be ok for many years.
Might have to go for a blast in the Z to road test the new mounts, plus it's still 30c here in Sunny France

I used a new pair that have some small cracks since I bought them 6 months ago without using them. They aren't OEM. Hope it goes through the MOT!
