Top Gear.

Though crowd, it's only the first episode, give 'em a chance.
3-4 onwards maybe then critique ;)

Couldn't go the distance "N4LLY", the format just doesn't work for me, enjoy it, I'll get my iPad out and watch some real enthusiasts on you tube. Horses for courses and all that.

RHA,Roy.

You tube ?

FXXK that

Must admit the Daytona FXXK was a missed opertunity, but I think that realised and why they said they would try and get it back later in the series

I watched only one show that had mr shouty in it. Not 100% but show 1 of the new series was way better.
The Beeb is clearly trying - I don't see Ferarri letting loose a £2m car not once but hopefully twice for many organisations. I bet the Beeb put up quite a bit of pressure to get it and also gave Ferarri final say on the edit.
Ultimately it is only pre-scripted entertainment, but, it is high octane watchable stuff. 8/10

At least Chris Evans has gone. But no real chemistry between the presenters. No rude jokes all a bit PC which is why The Grand Tour is much better. Can only improve.

If the GT is better then I won't bother. It was crap, just as Top Gear had become. Face it, they have run out of ideas.:(

Tony.

Not just me and HT then Roy.;)

Tony.

I think the problem is that Top Gear had run out of new ideas in Jeremy Clarkson's day. To continue flogging a dead horse is a waste of BBC money (our money) whoever is presenting it. Sometimes you just have to let the past go and find a new way forward. Just my opinion of course.:)

Well, basically I'm with HT on this. With the Clarkson crew it had become 'same old', they should have realized it had had it's day and that's that.
With that plonker Evans it was embarrassingly bad,the new one is better, but there is nothing 'new' and the cast just don't have the same interaction as Jezz et al.
I'd rather watch 'Car SOS' or 'Wheeler Dealers' at the moment, but they are restoration shows.
I'd like to see a new Car/Motoring programme on TV that looked at new cars etc,but not just 'supercars' that have little to do with most of us.
Top Gear had become a comedy show, which was fine,it worked for a long time, but now it's dead. The sooner it's buried the better.

Couldn't have put it better myself Ken. Spot on!

Tony.

Should just shelve it it's never going to be the same for me total C**p

@Gremlin I will watch it with an open mind but I may well come to the same conclusion that you have.

Tony.

I enjoyed the four seasons drive especially the fee wheeling drive

In the usual tv critic way - not seen it yet but amply qualified to comment

Not seen tonight's yet but my nephew said the filmed bits were OK to good (I.e. The usual TG film quality stuff) but the studio bits are a tad stilted - don't yet have the rapport going. Might get to watch on catch up in the next few evenings and see how right he is.
