Top Gear. Is it time to call it a day?

Should have pulled the plug when Messers Hammond, May and Clarkson left.

Yup. Time to go and think of another format. Perhaps 'Zed Gear', they could follow us on cruises and at the #Zedshed, @Sean d and @mrscalex build threads. Now that would be worth watching :D

I've lost interest in Top Gear but have enjoyed watching the current series of Fifth Gear on the Quest TV channel

Car comparisons, used cars, new car reviews and a bit of DIY thrown in as well

Any show which has a Z3 on has to be a winner ;)

Agree not watched Top Gear since the 3 monkeys left and have started watching 5th gear again

Yeah, it's run it's course

We were avid fans of Top Gear for years until the three stooges left. Tried Matt Le Plank and co and couldn't stand it. Not thought of 5th gear as an alternative to be honest. When does it run?

we want the 3 monkeys back you stupid BBC who ever did this to the worlds most watched T V programe needs sacking cost the bbc millions of viewers

IMHO they should've pulled the plug well before Clarkson got so far up his own backside that he thought he could physically assault someone with impunity.
Even Amazon have realised that it's had its day. Get a real job boys.

Tony.

Stopped watching it ages ago after they changed presenters, it became just another TV program about cars.
And on top of that, stopped watching the Dutch program as well as they just copied the format of Clarkson & Co.

It certainly lost it after the three monkeys left, Chris Evans was a disaster and Matt Lebland was no better. Worth giving them a chance with a new team though.

BBC actually sack someone , they just keep employing more left wingers who have no idea of satisfying the customers ,---- sorry I forgot we have no option if we want to be customers, have to pay them to watch the opposition
They should be made to become a subscription channel , if they are as good as they consider they are , they have no worry.
Regarding the incident when JC lost it , I know that hotel well and nowhere handy to go for a meal when the BBC staff did not organise one.

I was just thinking yesterday about the TV licence. Not that I am a big watcher of sport, but we used to be able to watch various events on normal channels. the F1 for instance.
Now every sport seems like we have to pay to watch, so why the hell do we still have to pay the BBC via a licence fee for less and less.
About time it was got rid of, and we either chose to pay to watch BBC, or they funded it through adverts. the licence should no longer be compulsory. and if you didn't pay then you were blocked from viewing the channel rather than fined. I suspect they wont do that because hardly anyone would pay it anymore.

Hear hear

I am not too arsed about it. It used to be brilliant and now it’s awful. Probably kinder to put it to sleep rather than endure a lingering death. Even if they somehow made peace with the 3 original presenters the format is jaded and predictable.

I still watch it it’s better than watching soaps and crappy so reality called tv
