Thanks Paul, what about people with a hard tip on for periods of time? Surely it’s no different ?Be careful leaving the hood down, they should be closed frequently to ensure the hood fits correctly, can lead to issues if left open for too long

I agree mate, I store mine with the hood down and when I had my hard top on I had no bother at all, one thing I did notice that was when the hood first saw water after a long period of being dry (when I was restoring the car) it leaked until it had got damp and swelledThe way I see it is if the soft top is perfectly dry when you put it down it should retain it's shape and not shrink, however if it's damp when you put it down and leave it for an extended period it could shrink as it dries.
I've still got the hard top on my silver zed and it will stay on until I get my storage space back, so I'll report back with my findings
Do you also have a ridge across the top by any chance, the top should sit flat with a gentle roll towards the back and frontWatching this as mine does a similar thing.
Lay it out on the ground and it looks fine, but as sion as I fit it and tuck the edge in I get two areas where it bulges in similar to jonnysnapzz pic.
Really annoying.
Not noticed it, but will fit it when the weather allows and have a look.Do you also have a ridge across the top by any chance, the top should sit flat with a gentle roll towards the back and front
Be careful with the hotgun, don't get too close and never hold the gun stillIve not had a chance to look again at mine yet, i intended to by a heat gun and do what Sean suggests.
I will try a hairdryer first ... safer!Be careful with the hotgun, don't get too close and never hold the gun still
I will have a look at mine later. Thanks for posting.I have just taken a pic of my mine so you can compare, you can see how flat mine is where as yours has the ridge that I pointed out
