That’s the one, the actual screen has a socket /port for the power lead as does the mount so they can be used individually. You don’t actually need the mount to connect the screen to power, ie two individual ports.
Think it’s to enable the Mount to stay plugged into the power and quick release leaving the mount in the car.
It’s held by a ridge underneath and magnet built into the mount.

That's how I use mine Roy. Leave the cradle and cable in my cab windscreen and bring the unit home away from prying eyes.

Yep Dave, I bought a extra cable so I can use it in the Fiat without the cradle, which is left in the coupe,it’s a versatile bit of kit and the info it displays on the route journey is second to none, when I switch it on in my living room it tells me where all the traffic congestion and road works are in my town before switching it to guide and getting into the car. Work route out on my phone on MYRoute and switch the tomtom on and transfers immediately. Updates through my home WiFi automatically when switched on in the house. To think I was worried it would be beyond my Tec skills. Worth every penny my family spent on it for my birthday on Thurs, not supposed to have/open it till then. Can’t wait to see what else they’ve spoilt me with come Thurs.=)) Aston Martin would go down well......:wacky:

Roy.

They are a great piece of kit Roy, not cheap but I wouldn't have any other now.

Sorry mate, forgot to send it last night. Been a little busy making sure Gary got to see Issabelle today. 3rd time he's seen her since Christmas and the 1st for me and Shirl. She's such a little beauty, she said to Gaz as he was putting her coat on tonight "I miss you so much Dada" heartbraking hearing a 3 1/2 years old say something like that.
