hey guys , my name is Tommy Bates

This is my old e36 compact was looking A bit battered after a season of hard drifting and been looking for a excuse to swap everything into a z3 for ages
specs of everything being swapped over are as followed

M50B25 non vanos turbo
t3/t4 hybrid turbo
2.8 pink injectors
uprated rising rate fuel pressure regulator
lhd turbo tubular manifold with flyover pipe to move the turbo forward
decomp plate x2 oem gaskets
ecu masters piggy back ecu
6 puk padel clutch with m3 flywheel
1.6 drivetrain with welded diff

rear subframe raised 10mm

so here she is sports fans !! (ZO3Y)

got her back home then started work on it almost straight away

running FK coilovers(will be upgraded to hsds soon) with austfab modified hubs for more lock

got myself some shiny rotas

need smaller tyres I know but you get the idea

got some cool skid wheels (car came with a dented door, now replaced)

ripped the old 1.9 engine out

and the wiring loom

painted the engine bay

and that's where I am at the moment

waiting on a new paddle clutch before I put the engine in, il then be fitting the engine and loom ect

then the cage will be welded in and the whole car will be getting painted

il try and keep you all posted

I've been, a few times, to Driftland at Lochgelly - I've also been to Knockhill for the Maxxis British Drift Championship - loads of BMWs , but I've never seen a Z3.

What power are you hoping to achieve? some of these drift cars are insane :)

I too will follow this thread wit interest

These m50 engines are good for a safe 400 bhp on low boost with the thicker head gasket so il be aiming for that

I should be at driftland on September 12th for drift cup providing I havnt wrote it off before then

With the car stripped down to the minimum, that'll be some power to weight ratio :)

Remind me nearer the time and I'll try and get across

All body panels to be exact (front and rear quarter panels; bumpers; doors; bonnet, boot and sills).
All from a pre-facelift 2.8
I believe rear quarter panels and boot would fit a facelift ( if all changed)....pretty sure someone will pass by that can confirm this.

Regards, Koen
