Not surprising really when there only appears to be one cross joist holding the roof on!!
The cross joist is a purlin, to support the rafters in the middle to stop them sagging. The rafters would have been sitting on the purlin, front wall and the ridge board. The wind has ripped the whole lot away in one piece; rafters, tile battens and tiles by the look of it. Like a big sail.

That’s a late model one, I done my apprenticeship at a Renault/Skoda (nuff said) dealership, cut my teeth on them and 16’s and 17’s.

I liked the old 16s. Where I worked back in the late 70s a mate had a 16 ts with leather seats. The most comfortable things I have ever sat on/in.
A customer had a 16 tx (1.8 ) another great car.

Tony.

Agree and quite fast in its day, I liked the column change too.

We also had a 17 Gordini on our books.

My next job after the garage was a car audio and security shop, I got to drive a lot
of nice stuff through the 80s into the 90s, back on subject 5 turbo V6 oh mama😳

Yep, the column changes were great. I drove those on our Bedford CA milk van and Granddad's Humber Hawk too.
