Time for a drive

:arghh: I've got one of those "the chocolate is all mine" at home. My little'un has even licked cakes before so only she can have them

@Gail, Shirl has been busy baking a cake this evening and it smells delicious, but I've been warned off, "If there's so much as a nibble out of that cake in the morning ........................................ ":(

Tony.

What a difference a day makes.

24 hours earlier virtually to the minute (The clock on the pic is still set to BST!) I was driving back from @t-tony's in glorious sunshine. Today on my way back home, having just got off the motorway which is about 200m to the right here, it was a tropical type cloud burst. A 60 mph road and I was only able to do 27mph in the LR and quickly slowing to a crawl. Visibility was very low even with the wipers on fast. Within seconds the road was awash and flooded 2" deep in places. It was getting to the point that had it continued it was time to stop. Fortunately, twenty seconds later I ran out of this and back into some kind of super soaked normality.

Conditions you experience only once every few years. Am I glad I wasn't in the Zed with the roof down?
What do you think! Actually, am just glad I wasn't in the Zed period.

24 hours.webp

Never nice driving in that mate, you never know what loony is going to come hammering along.

Yesterday was great cruising with Littlefeller. Today inside in the dry fitting my new seats

oil in, filters in (oil and air), all good to go again, had a kind of unexpected drive back, for some reason the sat nav took me and low rider on a mystery tour, great roads though. was good fun. (think it selected the shortest route, but not the quickest, this shortest route took me on roads i dont think i have been before).

Now Littlefeller I thought you knew the route and you've gone and spoilt it.

i think we have all had experiences with this this weekend, Friday was such a great day by contrast to today, infact it was so windy it blew my new crush washer for the sump plug i got with the oil filter away. thats not entirly true,( what actually happened was the wind took the bag the washer was in, then returned the bag without the washer, could you adam and eve it, even more annoying:mad:)

What a wash out weather wise again was looking forward to a drive out this weekend doesn't look like it now today was appealing just couldn't be bothered with the awful forecast tomorrow as well.
Cleaned 2 of our cars in readiness they looked great now ruined with the rain again.
Think I will go to our local tomorrow get wet inside as well as wet outside.
Come on better weather give us something to smile about.
