Had a run up to Matthewsons yesterday ahead of the auction this weekend - can't believe the inventory they have in storage. Said hello to Derek and he was running between the sites in the Morris Traveller van :thumbsup:

I was looking at this weekends auction entry's and see they have a Z3 2.8 going on Friday's lot.
Are they still doing online only on auction days.

Yes I looked at that but they just had it stored outside round the back - got one of the lads to fetch the keys so I could start it up and have a look inside. He told me there had been lots of interest in it and at least 3 people enquired about it while I was looking at the paperwork in the office. Very low mileage facelift 2.8 example with the M52TU. Tidy as you can imagine with less than 40k but the roof had a little hole and it looked like it had had some paintwork to the rear.
 
 
Worth watching the latest episode (set in April 2021 I think) to see the Z4 based Batmobile which the owners had a reserve of £45k on it - it didn't sell. :(

It looked a bit different from the normal kit car project. :whistle:

A similar conversion by the same owner on a 1995 Mitsubishi was up at same price but didn't sell either. I can't find pic of Z4 Batmobile unfortunately

Things such as these are too "personal " and as such may never sell. I think that one is horrible.

Some of those cars I have owned. Original mimi first car. My 4 Ford Cortina in Red also a triumph Herald in Teo tone mustard and olive. Origina seat covers plastic never taken of the rear seats low mileage and original transitor radio . Looks like a great day out.
